Not really a high five at all, the "Geeky Miss Five" involves deliberately missing a high five for comic effect. Shukes told us about this one. Here's his description:

"...the Geeky Miss Hi-5 which is not considered a hi-5 by most but it is where both participants go to hi-5 and intentionally miss."

Similar to this is the "Left Handed Five" which Cathy Pratt told us about:

Like the Geeky Miss Five the people deliberately miss for comic effect, but use the left hand. It usualy ends with some laughing and jokey pointing as if to say 'DOH!'

This is also sometimes known as a "'tarded five"!

A further variation on this theme was brought to highfive.me.uk's attention by Martin Ray:

"...not unlike the 'geeky miss high five' though it is much better. You perform it by missing the high five [and placing your arm] inside the arm of the high five participant. You then follow through so that both arms interlock. Technically its not a high five but one of my favourite arm embraces never the less. It can also be performed quickly twice on gamedays only. It is yet to be named."
